England Hockey Safeguarding
To ensure safeguarding is an integral part of our culture, we work hard ensure all CoYHC captains, coaches and volunteers have the necessary qualifications and safeguarding checks in place as set out by England Hockey’s Best Practises (including DBS checking).
For questions relating to DBS checking, please contact Dawn (CoYHC DBS Officer) on dbs@cityofyorkhc.co.uk
Welfare Officers
CoYHC have two trained Welfare Officers in place to support all players and promote welfare and safeguarding across the club. Our Welfare Officers are Helen Fenning and Tom Sermon and both can be contacted on welfare@cityofyorkhc.co.uk.
England Hockey also have an Ethics and Welfare team who’s contact details can be found here.
Raising a Safeguarding Concern:
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility so if you have any safeguarding concerns or have worries about poor practise or abuse of young people, please help us by reporting this via the Safeguarding Referral form below. You can also contact either of CoYHC Welfare officers directly via the contact details above.
