1. Volunteering

As the largest club in the North of England, City of York Hockey Club owes its success to a wonderful group of volunteers, offering their time to manage and support all aspects of our club. We currently have over 80 volunteers, but the more volunteers we have, the better.

There are various ways you can help – from small admin tasks to more strategic roles within the club. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t got a clue about hockey, or if you can't give a huge amount of time, there is something for everyone!

Current Vacant Volunteer Roles:

  • News/Newsletter coordinator (to help share club news)
  • Assistant treasurer (to support our Club Treasurer)
  • Equipment Co-ordinator (to help ensure we have the right hockey equipment)

In addition, we also are continually on the look out for

  • Volunteer junior assistant coaches (qualifications available via the coaching academy)
  • Team administrators (assist with pitchero, communication to team, fixtures etc.)
  • Umpires (qualifications available via the Roscoe Umpiring Academy)

If you can help, please make contact with our Chair on: chair@cityofyorkhc.co.uk.
