Both teams stood for a minute's silence prior to the match on armistice day.
York won the coin toss and chose to start facing away from the bright afternoon sun. This proved valuable at first with an early goal from Nico Stott. The team began well, but soon fell victim to the skilful forwards from Hull, who scored two goals in quick succession.
A hard fight throughout the first half, mostly in York's own half resulted in another goal for Hull, ending the first half with a 3-1 lead for the opposition after a short corner goal.
A change of formation and some team energy generated at the half time talk immediately showed a team determined to win. The midfield played a series of superb passes, working quickly around the oppositions defence before the ball was pushed in towards Dan Waite who finished with a beautiful goal.
This solidified the teams vigour and determination, again resulting in another goal by Alfie Robinson to equalise with twelve minutes remaining.
Andrew Wilson scored to put York in the lead with a scrappy but well placed goal behind the keeper, it was unfortunately disallowed.
York M7s come away after a gruelling and hard fought match to remain undefeated.
A valiant effort, well done M7s.
