A 4-0 loss was a tough scoreline against an Adel team with an interestingly different composition to the one who came to our place. The opening exchanges were even with Adel better in possession but York having more success with pace and movement up front. Then, disaster struck as a ball flew up off Greg's stick into Sam's chin. Off for stitches. From the ensuing penalty corner they scored as we reorganised. The rest of the first half was evenly contested with York having the better of the chances and some short corners (which Greg pulled consistently left). Then double disaster as Conor pulled up with a tribute injury to Jimmy's hamstring. 1-0 half time and 10 mobile players with Conor being moved to hobbling in their D.

The second half was again too and from with more good chances for York but we could not put any away. Then 2-0. At this point we pushed more players forward looking to force our way back in and let in two more. High points from the game was the movement of the ball around the back, great discipline from Josh in positioning and tackling, a very dynamic performance from Harry and Adam's tackling. MoM was tight but Raj edged it over Adam and Greg, DoD for Harry - for going to the wrong pitch. Fair call. Big thanks to Swifty for his cameo to replace the injured Dunc.
