At the beginning of the season after a shaky draw against a poor Rotherham side, a narrow loss against Ben Rhydding side and a humiliating loss (5-3) against our 3s the season ahead was looking bleak. Fast forward to the middle of the season when our wins overtook our losses and the young team we had had started to click and we slowly began to move up the table. The last few matches of the season have shown how well the 2s can play. We have dominated the games and have finished the season with comfortable wins. The last match against Sheffield uni Bankers was one on which we started off shaky and could have conceded but soon settled once we got the first goal from a short corner by ZP, which was created by GG. The whole team worked together well with crisp passing and well controlled pressing that allowed us to maintain our attacks and to keep them under pressure. The defence worked well and kept Sheffield from scoring until late on in the second half. The game ended with a well deserved win which makes it a double against Sheffield this season.

It has been a very good season very well led firstly by the captain but also by the other elders in the team supporting and encouraging the youngsters to make it a happy playing environment.
