York went into the match in high hopes having secured a creditable draw last time out against the league leaders, it was hoped that Scarborough, without a win and beaten heavily by Selby themselves would provide our first win.
It turned out to be a close match with York edging the game 1-0. Scarborough were better than their previous results indicated; possibly by the inclusion of a former York first team player at the heart of their midfield.

York started the second half very brightly again and within 4 minutes of the restart, Neil scored for the second match in a row following some good build up play from the York midfield. Much of the second half was even with York trying to find a second goal to finish of the match and Scarborough trying to find a way back into the contest.
Scarborough finally started threatening in the last 15 minutes, mainly due to the ex York first teamer; but the midfield and defence were resolute and survived for a well earned win.
Man of the match: George for his constant battling in midfield; ably supported by Keyesy
