The Mouthy Match of Madness

The men’s 6th team against Slazengers.
A Game of hockey can do wonders to a team so caught up in their own heads.

The game the sixes played on this day at 12:00 was an interesting game with end-to-end action throughout.

First ten minutes of the game York dominated with some near shots which we couldn’t deliver on.
However in the 11th
BANG!!! Slazengers netted.
Heads dropped
2 minutes passed after that BANG!!!
another goal for Slazenger.
York pressed and pressed soon we turned depressed when Slazengers got their third goal in the 20th minute.
We tried and tried until Mighty Malcom !!!!! Scores!
A sweet ball in with Malcom having a great connection reflection sending it right to the backboard in the 31st minute and our hopes of winning stayed high. Though the Gobby Opponents disagreed with the goal with a crap excuse.

HALF-TIME TEAM TALK
WE STAYED POSITIVE AND TRIED TO KEEP OUR HEADS UP.

Second half started hopes of Winning or drawing still possible.
5 minutes in and Slazengers netted for the 4th devastating time.
After a bit of gobbledygook from both sides and a bit of roughness.
In the 13th York scores! The Goal reminds me of a book Harry Potter and the Deathly Allo.
The ball is whacked into the top of the D
Which finds Allo who reflects in the back of the net.
After a bit of scrapping and end-to-end action York win a short corner.
Sam the man injects to the top of the D.
A shot is fired, the keeper saves. The ball comes out of the D where the ball finds a York player and is wacked in.
YORK GOALLL!!!!
The ball glances across the stick of The Maverick Murph and hits the back of the net In the 25th minute
3-4 York are still in this.
End-to-end action once again and after some pinball action the ball finds Ernie who beats the Keeper and… Sends it wide.
(I’m still annoyed with myself about that chance)
In the 28th minute Slazengers net for the 5th time
Crushing our team's morals.
From then on the Game got a bit rough and rather rude. With both teams exchanging crude comments and Slazengers complaining about Gordon allegedly tripping over one of their players.
York having some more chances until the last couple of minutes when the ball meets the Slazenger Forward getters their 6th-minute
In the 34th minute.

Final whistle blows York 3- 6 Slazenger
Not the result we were hoping for, however, a games a game and that is how the game went.
