Ladies 6s were down to 11 players for their sunny home match against Thirsk 3s.
There was a lot of possession by the 6s with lots of 'one two' passes, creating triangles and making back passes to create space. However due to a slightly feisty match both Hannah Heuston and Adelle Bryden-Brown ended up on the floor! A strong press by the players up front meant that the 6s often regained possession of the ball from a 16 or free hit. And a strong defence meant that balls were cleared back up the pitch before Thirsk got too many shots on goal - mention for Eddie Davidson for confidence as goal keeper and owning the defensive D. But overall players of the match goes to Anwen Hughes and Kimberley Holmes.
Overall a match of great intensity, determination and working as a team from York saw a 1 : 0 win for the home team with Lucy Jones scoring the only goal of the match.
