City of York Scoops European Award 24.08.2009

Club Chairman Nigel Herd and members of City of York HC collect the EuroHockey Club of the Year Award 2008 in Amsterdam, August 2009Recently, City of York Hockey Club was awarded the EuroHockey Club of the Year Award 2008, which was presented to club Chairman Nigel Herd at a ceremony in the Netherlands as part of the EuroHockey Nations Championships.

One of the key contirbutors to the club's success in being recognised for the award has been the running of the Pete Feasby Memorial Tournament, where over 30 primary schools in the York area come together to participate in a hockey festival.

MEN'S YORKSHIRE CUP 2008 - WINNERS!!

Congratulations to the Men's 1st X1 who last weekend, won the Yorkshire Cup in style, beating Leeds Adel Carnegie by 5 goals to 2.

YHA VETERANS MEN'S CUP 2008 - WINNERS!!

Congratulations to COYHC veterans who won theYorkshire Veterans cup on Sunday, beating Sheffield 5-1 at Abbeydale.

Goals from Cook, Carter and Moisley, Collinson (2) and a fantastic man of the match performance from Martin (Pies) Parrott sealed a hard game, which was much closer than the score line suggests.
