New rules for 2009
They are:-
- Self Pass
- Free hits inside the 23 metre areas (25 yards in old money!)
England Hockey has produced some guidance notes on these new rules.

These represent perhaps the most significant rule changes in years and yet the feelings are that many players, coaches and umpires will all have slightly different views in their interpretation and application. Hopefully, the guide and video clip will go someway to clearing up the anticipated confusion (but don't hold your breath!!).
